Pretty close, except instead of a large powerful V8 engine, it has (GT) a small powerful V8 engine. What are we going to tell the 6 banger folks? They want to be a muscle car too/

If concerned about the highway try the 3.73's but I still feel (esp if doing the speed limit) the RPM's will not be an issue with 4.10's
Edit: Here is my take on what our cars are
Muscle car definition : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muscle_car
scroll down and I would class our cars as modern muscle car! FTW and thats what I will stick to as my opion of what the car is classed as ! Thanks and on to the OP's topic 4.10's = WOW!

Ok guys I have a 3.55 now and want to upgrade so would 4.10s in a stick shift be recommended? I cant justify going from 3.55 to 3.73 for the same price almost as a 4.10 with install and parts? thoughts anyone? I know this has been talked about a million times but the debate still goes! J Remember I have FI!

I've heard 3.73's in autos are to 4.10's in mannys, and the 3.73's in my auto sn95 felt perfect -I'm kinda looking forward to it.
Sutton Hp did my 373 install and told me if you are goingFI in the futureyou shouldnt go higher then a 373 in an auto and 410 if you are going to stay all natural.
Sutton High Performanceare a great bunch of guys and they are supposed to becoming sponsors on theis forum this year. I spoke with Doug about it and he told meafter the new year. I will have to ask him again tomorrow when Istop by onmy way home from work.

I've heard nothing but good things about 4.10's w/ the manny. I'ts kinda on my list after a pully/fuel pump upgrade, suspension work and tires andinstalling my shift light.

It's a ratio, so it's not hard to understand. 4.10:1 should have about 20% higher rpms that the stock 3.31:1 in an auto. 3.73:1 is about a 11% over stock.
I saw about a 10% reduction in highway mileage with 3.73:1 in my automatic, which makes sense. I'm glad that I didn't go with 4.10:1, that would mean another drop 2 mpg drop in fuel economy.
I'm not sure if the other poster lives in Texas or Kansas or another one of those flat states, but it's tough for me to get 25 mpg on the highway and I have 3.73:1. I usually end up with 24 mpg or so for most highway trips. Again, it's hilly terrain around here. Bottom line, my mileage dropped about 2 mpg on the highway.
