Hello. My Airbag light comes on when the car is running occasionally. It stays on for various time intervals. Sometimes a minute, sometimes several minutes. What does this mean? Do I have to take CAI and tune off to bring it in? Is it dangerous? Is it functional? It happens with me alone and sometimes when a passenger is in the car. It makes no noise. The seatbelt light/beeper functions properly.

 

My passenger airbag light would come on and off whenever anyone sat in the seat. Turned out to be the foam used (ROUSH) was to heavy and I had to replace the seat cushions. It was covered under warranty. The sensors have to be calibrated at zero pounds with no one in the seat.

 

Sorta the same prob here. Before it started with constant beeping when no one was in the car and the Airbag OFF light wouldn't come on. Now it doesn't beep but the Airbag OFF light still won't come on. No idea what the problem is and I got no credible answers to it when posting earlier

 

When the airbag senses any wieght, but under 100lbs, the airbag light will stay on. My ex wife was right at 100lbs, and the light would go on and off, depending on how she was positioned in the seat. When I go to work, and throw my gear onto the pass seat the light will also come on.

 

100LBS? That much?

Mine will come on when I set my laptop on the passenger seat, but its never come on for any other reason.

 

My old roomate was 95lb. at 5' tall

But yea, nothing in the passenger seat...not even a purse...and the light doesn't go on.
