Default Manual Tranny Neutral Slight Rumble

does anyone's 5 speed manual tranny have a slight rumble to it when it is set in neutral?...mine has done it since i got the car so i figure it is just the way it is built

Mine does the same thing. Was one of a BIG LIST of things that I made note of with the service writer this morning when I dropped the car off. We will see what he has to say about it. I am sure I will be told that it is normal.

its probably normal because the clutch being in neutral that no power is being passed through the tranny to the driveshaft so that is what causes the rumble..and when you depress the clutch it stops cause you are putting it in gear and allowing power to pass through it so it stops..but who knows its just a opinion of mine
