Mustang takes crap from light.....

RE: Mustang takes crap from light.....
It could be your TCS kicking in too, depending on how hard you're punching it. My TCS will kick in if the wheels spin just the slightest bit and cut the power for a second.
Check the TSB, though.

Ya turn the key on(not start) wait till the lights turn off. I think 3 will stay on in the dash, then in 5 seconds push the gas pedal all the way to the floor, then take 5 seconds to release the pedal. Then turn off, wait like 10 sec. then start car and it should reset. When I depressed my gas pedal I could hear it making noise. I noticed when I took a drive that the car takes off now when I hit the gas, it got rid of that annoying hesitation. Try it out, if it doesnt work then take it to the dealer for the fuel pump tsb.

I did what Lucky Dog states and it helped the car at take off a bunch. But there are faulty pumps out there. I replaced the pump and that worked great, then didthe computer trick and it worked like a charm.
Got the stang moving like it should have.
That was on my V6, no Gt issues.

Lucky is talking about throttle lag and im aware of that.....
Sailing, i dont believe its the TCS since i always turn it off when driving...when it does what it does to me, im just barely starting to take off and not even trying to race....
where is this TSB so i can print it off?

RE: Mustang takes crap from light.....
Good read. I've been trying to figure out that for my self. In my case it happened only like 4 times, and ONLY on the highway.
It was not necesarily driving for a long time or anything like that.
What happened to me, was for instance when I would step on it a bit more than usual, and I would go from second to third gear, or third to fourth, the car would hesitate for a second or so then finally grip..
I took it to the dealer and I was told nothing was wrong with it, but we all know how the dealership is..
I'm also interested in the TSB to see if I'm in the same category
