Default chirping 2nd..... *updated*

I'm having bit of trouble chirping 2nd gear, or even smoking the tires during a launch for that matter. I can do it sometimes, but i have to dump the **** out of my clutch. I would think that with the mods listed in my sig i should have no trouble. I've tried, brenspeed, and bama tunes. the only thing i can think of, that i upgraded to 18" wheels with 255s, but that shouldn't make THAT much difference right? shouldn't i still be able to chirp the **** outta second still?? not like i wanna rag on my car all of the time....just wanna make sure i'm putting down as much power as i should. Could it be due to a spark or fuel pump issue? i don't know much about those two things......

thanks guys...

thats wierd, your prob not driving it hard enough. i have less power then you and i can spin the **** out of 2nd with 18 inch wheels and 275 tires.

i see no reason why you shouldnt be able to spin em or jump sideways in second still
on stock s197's ive seen some of my friends w/ 20s and 275s do it easily without dumping at all, just getting into it quickly
sorry i cant tell you what the problem is but i can say you should be able to do both relatively effortlessly

well you probably should power shift. Dont ever let go of the gas pedal.

yeah it is, i mean i'm stock and i can chirp in 2nd. haven't tried 3rd. i do have 17s though if that makes any difference.

i think the key is just catching the gear at the right rpm, while giving it some gas.

if you go drive and theres nothing more you can do as far as driving then there must be something wrong but i dont see as to where something would go wrong unless the tune is messed up

I can spin my tires like a bitch when power-shifting 1st-2nd with traction control on... you probably arent driving hard enough.
