Don't be afraid of getting in the red. When you do the engine management stops you from doing any harm by cutting the fuel. That is if you are 100% stock like me

Haha, yeah I just got a pretty good chirp out of the tires on a 1-2 shift. I was just babying it too much (but it is only 2 months old). I feel much better now.

There is nothing wrong with going easy on your car. A buddy of mine has had alot of Vettes and currently a 69 Camaro. He couldn't figure out why he couldn't get a C5 Vette out of the mid 14's, but he baby shifts it at 5K rpm.... I generally think of him as not being retarded except for his devotion to Chevy's

I drop it into second about 4-5k if i want a good long second gear spin, but it really depends on the pavement and the tread compound of the tires.
