Different type of pavement?
Different temperature?
LCA relocation brackets?
Wider tires?
Larger rims?
Wider tires and larger rims?
Traction control?
Gear gremlins that switched your gears for a set of 2.20's while you slept?
Fat person in back seat?

All of these can affect your ability to spin your tires.

And you have a 5spd!!? I can chrip in my 5 speed 2.2L S10 if I want, and I do sometimes on accident.

That seems weird. With a 5speed you essentially have control over that.

What rpm are you guys at when you want to chirp third? I have 295-35-18 rear tires and I have to be near the redline to break mine loose...........

I've done it in my GT with traction control on and I have no mods yet.

Even when I was stock I've never has issues chirping 2nd. After I got my tune I roast second and can chirp third. Then after the 4.10s it got even more crazy. Had to retame her with the trutrac.

If you have the 3.31 rear end, it might be the reason you can't chirp your tires. Mine is stock and I haven't been able to chirp second yet.

I have 3.31 and I can chirp second (at least I could when I had my stock 17" rims....haven't tried with my 18"), but I have to launch like a rocket and shift early enough to do it. I do have the Brenspeed 93 tune, but other than that I have no power adders ....except a black paint job.

You just need to get on her a little harder. Whats your shift range?
