And why would you make a Shelby replica from a v6? More people will put it down knowing this.
Actually, the OP could build his own Shelby CS6 from a 4.0L V6, just like Shelby does (add'l pics). Or he could have Shelby Automobiles build him a Terlingua Mustang, which is also based off the 4.0L V6. Apparently Carroll Shelby thought it was a good idea to build V6 Shelbys!

I actually read yesterday, that Ford and other makers will have to phase out the V8 in trade for V6 twin turbos because of the need to make 35 mpg by 2020. Might be an incentive to get one of the last V8's available.

If you buy the V6 you might end up saying "I could'a had a V8".

If you bought a V8 you will NEVER say "I could'a had a V6".

Yea. If I had bought a GT500, I'd be saying "Wow, I had a GT500" just as the repo man towed it away.

No, but you might say "I coulda invested the $5000 difference for 20 years at the stock market long term average return rate of 8% and had $23,300." Buying more car than you reallyneed, especially when you are young, has a true cost that is VERY LARGE if you are smart enough to invest. I am surrounded by knukleheads at work who either aren't in the company 401K, or are not maxed out, and are investing $30,000 - $40,000 in cars, as 22 year olds. Hope they realize the cost....

In fact, if you are young, and you invest said $5000 in a Roth IRA for 40 years at 8%, you end up with $108,600.

[sm=funnypostabove.gif] Way too serious. The OP only wanted to know what he should get, a V6 or a V8. He didn't ask for investment counceling.
