Okay, so the bottom line is I'm going to need a tune from someplace else. I know Brent at Brenspeed told me he has a tune worth 460 RWHP. I might check into that since I already have my SCT II.

Anybody else have recommendations of a tune they purchased that produced good safe numbers?

Oh, and one more question. Those that did run a 3rd party tune, are you required to install the Whipple tune first, then overwrite with the new tune?

I just want to make sure we take the correct steps.

D'Agostino racing is the one your thinking of I believe.

Apex, no you don't need to install the whipple tune
first.....it's just a tune like any other....

if you go with the brenspeed canned tune, let me know
how you like it and how much it cost you...

i may also get a tune from D' Agostino or Brenspeed, to try
out this summer

Hammeron,

Do you not have any good dyno tuning places around you? If not you should make the Drive to Orlando and go to VMP. I will buy you a beer.

thanks guru, if i'm ever in the area

i really havn't looked for a local tuner,
because i don't want anyone touching
my baby.

i was thinking of D'Agostina as an option,
because i can datalog until the tune
is dialed in......

You can do the same with VMP as well. Data logs & dyno graphs with A/F for review. I'm a little higher in elevation, so anything he makes for my car will be even safer where I am just because of the lower air pressures.

I just ordered a Whipple HO tune from Brenspeed. $185, not a bad deal in my opinion. I find that I can never go wrong with Brenspeed. They have always been on the money from a service stand point and excellent reliability.
