RE: Should I get the '05 or wait til '06?
im waiting till 06. they are gonna have an 18 ince wheel option which i think the car should have come with (17s the tire is just too tall)
the demand will drop so youll have alot more bargaining power. last time i checked they were still going for 5-7 k over sticker where i live
and most importantly, stay away form first year fords, more recalls than you can shake a stick at

I've had my 05 since February and have put on 1500 miles since then. It is my secondary driver on my insurance and helps alot. I drive a 94 Explorer to work every day and put the miles on it over the weekends.
I have had no porblems with the car at all. It pulls hard in all gears and the clutch is relatively soft. I had a performance clutch in my last and it was 10 times harder, so don't sweat driving the manual in traffic.
Overall the vehicle is extremely comfortable expecially compared to other mustangs I've been in (my 97GT inlcuded). As sivilized as it is I can still drift the car at 40 miles an hour in second gear with 1 hand on the wheel.
Overall great bang for the buck.

You know, I actually test drove a V-6 mustang yesterday. They wouldnt' let me try the GT b/c I wasn't going to buy it soon enough. Anyways, I was really surprised at how quiet it really is on the inside. Just as quiet as my girlfriend's Accord, so I think noise ride won't be a problem. I only tried the auto b/c I haven't learned to drive a stick yet, but it was still pretty fun. I def. want the manual though b/c I want the acceleration right away b/c the automatic took a second to downshift when I would gun it, but got it up to 80 w/o a hitch and it was fun. Needless to say I love this car and I can't wait til I can hurry up and get one.
Weird thing was I think I knew more than the salesman. I would list off specs and such and he would be somewhat unsure of things. He also never heard of any of the gas tank problems or front suspension popping, but oh well. Regardless, I'm getting either an '05 or an '06, just a matter of the $$$
