ORIGINAL: FenderParrothead

How do the JBAs sound?
Deeper at idle, resonance in the 1500-1800 range, It is a bit louder. It certainly sounds better than stock. A happy side effect is when I crank the car in the parking deck at work, there are other unhappy cars that protest with their alarms. WOT sounds about the same I guess. its probably louder, but I haven't really been outside the car to hear it.

The car overall sounds different between the JLT CAI and the new Axlebacks. So its a bit meaner sounding. But still far from perfect.

I hope you are kidding. You would trust your life to something you bought at Harbor Freight? You are a brave, brave man.

I may not get the jack stands from HF but I'll probably buy the floor jack. I just like having the car up where I can slide under it in the garage rather than try and hit some 2x4s or ramps. I jacked up the rear and put jack stands under the rear axle when i installed em.

I got a duralast model from Autozone. I trust duralast products. It's a 2.5ton "SUV" floor jack that has 30' of height. It can get the car up to the top rungs of my jackstands (also duralast models). $69.99.

These are what JBA's sound like. This is before my off-road h-pipe. It's considerably louder now.

it wasn't the putting the car on jack stands I found dangerous - it was trusting anything from Harbor Freight to not be 100% pure crap. If you do buy from them, be sure to ask for your free bowl of rice and set of chopsticks!
