offset wheels
i have a o6 gt with stock silver 17's, looking to buy a set of 18's for the back to give it that old "jacked" look.
would 17 in front and the biggest 18 in back give me that look? drive ok? or should i just buy a set of 18 and go small up front and big in the back? dont know nothing about tires and stuff, what do you think? thanks.

I posted a similiar question in the Appearancesection recently. You can get away with larger diameter wheels in the back but at the expense of a little handling. Supposedly, the Stang is balanced on all 4's. I had asked the question about going with 18" all the way around but 255's up front and 275's on the rear(I also liked that staggered look) and the recommendation was that the 275's all the way around would provide the most stable platform.I was concerned about thesteering beng "heavy"with the change up front from my stock 235's but was told I'd impact understeer somewhat with the differing sizes. I also went with the same size on all 4's soI can rotate them. GETTING THEM INSTALLED LATER TODAY! WOOHOO!!! [sm=happy046.gif]
I know a lot of forum members are staggered and are happy with their setup. Hope that helps.

I have 255/40/17's in front and 305/35/18's in the rear and haven't noticed any adverse handling characteristics. I haven't really had a chance to get on it due to the weather but it seems ok.
