Thats what I was thinking too. I have different size tires out back and have everything set to the rear tire size. I can't see why MPG would be measured by the fronts....

That seems odd because the rear wheels are connected to the driveshaft, which is connected to the transmission which I believe has your speed sensors.Since the drivetrain all runs off the back wheels where how do the front wheels come in to play?
Thereforewhen you change the revs per mile you would base it on the rear tire size.
Mpg is calculated with the front wheels and not the back wheels, if you entered your rear wheel measurement then it will cause the errors

RE: New Wheels= 12MPG
Something isn't right, even if the wheels are MUCH heavier and MUCH bigger. I only lost about 1-2 mpg with my 20s and Nitto 555 255/35/20s. Everyone wants to believe it's because the "heavier" wheels, well you'll only lose about 2-4 rwhp with 20s vs 18s so that's not accountable for the mpg loss. Not to mention I had a 2006 F150 lifted 10" on 37s and 20s and it still got 13.5 mpg in the city. It could also be a winter blend gas ...
Hardly, these cars are pigs. The fenders just eat up wheels.

MPGs are calculated by the distance traveled to the amount of fuel used.

Wow! This should be interesting. Check out the link below. I'll change the Revs in the morning and go for a quick drive.

This is what I'm runing 245/35/20 in the front and 285/35/20 in the rear on Nitto rubber.
