PICS - My Valve Covers are starting to look SICK!!!!

RE: My Valve Covers are starting to look SICK!!!!
Just so everyone knows, the valve covers are not aluminum, and cannot be polished like aluminum. They are magnesium, and they will change color again. I personally would hate to take the time to make them look so so, and just have them change back again![:@]

GTStang - Looks good I have to suggestions.
1. If you take them off and really polish them good, clear coat them with the spray cans you get at Napa or something (I think they make a hightemp one). I did this to a set of wheels and it does help to keep them looking good longer.
2. If you want to just powdercoat those, I know a good powdercoater in Daytona. Good prices too. He has one finish called black chrome that would look sick. PM me if you are interested. Maybe we could get a group deal with him and some of the other local guys. I want the black crinkle finish like my blower.

mustanggt0405 - ya man.. i work at advance auto parts, and we stell a 500* high temp clear.. we also have paint in a 1200*, but i dont know if they have a clear in that temp...
about the black chrome, im very familiar with it, but i think you ahve to have a chrome finsh to get that tho.. not 100% sure.. but let me know if you do a group thing, i might go in on that depending on prices and how long till i can get htem back on the car..
but i htink i may try that clear coat thing if i take these off and try and pollish them more/better..
about them getting dirty again, and about them being mag and not aluminum.. this is all stuff that i knew.. half the reason that i bought the pollsih that i did.. (mothers MAG and aluminum pollish) but whatever.. its kina like washing your car, takes a good hour + and gets dirty the next day!? (for those of us who dont have enclosed parking, or another DD, OR LIVE IN FLORIDA!! fckin rain)
but thanks for the comments and compliments..
