bad synchro's?

Correct the transmission has internal stops.

The K Member Brace with TL would never cause a problem. It's not doing anything but holding everything together so it doesn't torque to one side. If anything it's only mimicking the action of a slow shift when you're shifting faster.

Yep and Yep. Just keeps the tranmission in it's place so when you shift to the next gear, it's in the proper place to make the change.
