Default Stupid question about X3 tuners

Finally got my C&L/SCT X3 last week and did nothing with it until I got the airbag recall taken care of. Plugged in the X3 and read my strategy code and its unchanged so no need to have revised tunes sent to me. Heres the stupid question, when I load one of the tunes that are in it does the stock info automatically get saved or do I need to "export" it somehow? I read the X3 manual and it mentions nothing of this.

I assume it's the same as the xcal2. The xcal2 pulls your base program and stores it internally. It code locs to your vehicle and can't be used on any other vehicle until it puts that stock program back into the vehicle it took it out of.

It uploads your stock tune and keeps it on the X-3. So if you ever need to go back to stock, you just plug it in and tell it to return to stock.
