Default Mustang GT VS 2005 SSR

I will be racing a friend in the near future, he has a 2005 SSR 6 speed. Looking at the spec sheets I shouldn't have a problem beating him. He is stock I have a 93 octane predator tune nothing else. Am I right? Any tips on launch rpm? I have the 5 speed stick GT.

The 2005 Chevrolet Truck SSR is a 2-door, 2-passenger luxury pickup, available in one trim only, the Base.

Upon introduction, the SSR is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, V8, 390-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is optional.

The original 300 HP Vortec 5.3L powered SSR turned 0-60 mph in 7.6 seconds with a quarter-mile performance of 15.9 seconds at 90 mph. The '05 SSR clocked a 0-60 mph time of 5.29 seconds with the manual gearbox and 5.49 with the automatic. Quarter-mile times were dramatically improved: 13.83 sec at 103.38 mph with the manual, and 13.95 sec at 99.2 mph with the automatic.
