Default Red Mustang

SO, I’m on my way home last night and I spot an 05 on the US60, wanting a closer look I came up in the fast lane and spot that it is a V6 redfire, nice car… but what I missed was the few year old red stang that was in between us, I spotted a triple gauge pod and here him drop to third.. I say why not, drop to third and we are off.
Traffic was fairly clear and I hit 6k and shift to fourth, he is starting to pull on me after the shift, I figured he would have to shift soon and he had me by about half a car length
There is a car in his lane so he slowed just enough to tuck in behind me then back on the gas, he is still pulling on me from behind even though at this point we were hauling @#$
Now its my turn for a car in front of me, I had room to cut him off but decided against it and hit the binders. When he passed me I saw what the deal was, while I was checking out the V6 I missed the blue letters on the bumper of the red car that said cobra .
That explained a few things lol.
Now the bad part, I pulled even to him on the passenger side to give him the thumbs up and say nice car, and it looked like he had a kid standing in the passenger side seat not buckled in.
I am stunned, what the hell?
Man do I feel stupid.

I don't think there is any reason for you to feel stupid. You had no way of knowing he had a kid in there not buckled up. The other guy is complete fool to take chances like that. It's too bad that a nice car like a Cobra will occasionally fall into the hands of someone who cannot appreciate / respect the power these cars have and have the common sense to use it only when appropriate. Who I really feel sorry for is the kid. The kid has no say in the fact that this idiot driver is taking stupid chances with his life and he's going to grow up with the idea that street racing must be ok because dad does it. (assuming the moron behind the wheel is his father) regardless, most young kids see adults as authority figures and use them as role model's to pattern thier own behaviour later in life.
However, by the way that you worded your comments, it appears that you learned something from this which is probably more than I can say for the other driver. Consider your self that much wiser. We all make mistakes. The only difference bewteen a normal person and an idiot is that the idiot keeps making the same mistakes over and over again until he removes himself from the gene pool. You don't need to feel stupid unless you didn't learn anything.

are 05 owners (or any 05 race stories in general) too good to post their racing stories in the racing section? guess we need to put a racing, audio/visual, pipes boost & juice & off topic sections inside the 2005 mustang section. [&:]

let the falming proceed

Why not? Remember we all are scumbags. Why not name the section '05 scumbags?
