Default Gas Guzzler Tax

Why would there be a gas guzzler tax on the Shelby GT, and not the Bullitt, they are pretty much the same Rating for output?

There is a gas guzzler tax on the regular shelby not the FI ones? That sucks! Maybe because it is a Shelby? I could not tell you why but it sucks either way! J

Don't complain! I think it's like that because the Shelby GT costs more and falls into the bracket. I think, and this is my personal opinion... That they put extra tax on more expensive vehicles that don't meet the requirements... but why tax a vehicle that is $25k?

My only other thought is due to the Bullitt computers ability to adjust for different octane it has a better fuel economy rating and thus doesn't require a gas guzzler tax.

You can get a GT with 3.55 gears and it doesn't come with a gas guzzler tax.

I know that was the reason for making the 3.55:1 gear ratio an option other wisethe gas guzzler taxwould have been on all mustangs. Perhaps the bullit is counted with all the other mustangs and the shelby gt is not.

There is no gas guzzler tax on GT's with the 3.55 rear end.

The Bullitt comes with 3.73's.
