I have the CDC hood pin appearance kit and get tons of compliments on how real they look. If you get real pins, you will loower the value on a trade because of the holes in the hood. The appearance kit is stuck on with 3M adhesive and even comes with the lanyards that are the exact same as they package with the "real" hood pins. The appearance kit is more expensive, but you don't have to worry about alignment, or drilling.
