Door - meet sidewalk

Door - meet sidewalk
Well, my night on the town last night was overshadowed by a little mishap that occured while trying to get a parking spot for the night. We pulled in to a spot along the curb, but I was unable to read the sign stating parking restrictions. Before I could say anything, my female passenger jumps out of the car to read the sign, and in the process, opens the corner of the door right onto the concrete sidewalk *ERRRRRRRRRR*.
Luckily, it can't be seen unless you lay under the door. It just caught the corner, but where it did, it wore it down to bare metal. My question is: What do I do about this? Believe me, I'm not worried about cosmetics. This thing is a daily driver in a metropolitan area...I have my share of imperfections. But, I'm worried overtime that the water running down over the door is going to cause a cancerous rust spot.
What's the solution? Should I take it somewhere to have the professionals fix it?

Primer and touch up paint. If it's on the bottom edge you can fix it yourself. You should be able to do a decent job with a brush on primer, paint and clear. Just make sure there's no rust prior to painting and clean it good with some naptha.

I would have hit my knee's and been out there crying ( I'm OCD and I hate it )

Thanks. What's naptha, where can I find it, and do I have to be concerned about getting it on the surrounding area.
