Are they pure white as the website says or does it have that blueish hue tint like in other HIDs

Since pictures or video will not really let you tell what they look like.
Just go to your local Ford dealer while it is dark, and test drive one with HIDs and see what you think.

There only plug and play with steeda's harness. if you purchase them from ford you will need to buy a new ford harness or slice them in with 2 relays. 1 for low beam and 1 for high beam.

Are they just a plug n play?
Looks like it.

Dang $995.95?? That's the same price as the Saleen HIDs! I was hoping to pay the option price which is $535.95 Are there any significant differences between these and the Saleens?
There are numerous differences, the Saleen ones for example don't look like they were drawn by a paraplegic using MS Paint..

Saleens us the older D2R bulbs while Ford used the newD3R
No that's missleading, the igniter is just PART of the bulb and is not visible.

The difference between D1r, D2r & D3r is that the bulb glimmers less... this not nessesarily desirable. This glimmer is determined by the bulb's core.

A bigger part of the picture is which generation of HID technology a system uses, or what's actually ignited. using a match vs a lighter to start a fire isn't as important as using gunpowder or paper to light... Ford for example uses the older generation 2 HIDs which last a shorter time, are less white, and take more energy to run as well as have a longer startup, while Saleen uses generation 3 HIDs. Generation 3 HIDs contain more burning stuff, ie Xenon gas.

There isn't a huge difference in price, if anything they are the same price. The Saleen HIDs look better, use better lighting technology, have a more attractive beam color, and accept aftermarket bulbs.

Gt500 lights are the same as GT lights besides the housing.

Whats misleading about it? D3R are the newest type of bulbs...I didnt say it was better or worse.

"Ford for example uses the older generation 2 HIDs which last a shorter time, are less white, and take more energy to run"
Not sure were your pulling that out of. Ford used the d3rthat is the newest type of system. read link and text below.

What are D3S and D4S type HID bulbs?
D3x and D4x are mercury free versions of the D1x and D2x light sources. They do not work with older D1x/D2x type ballasts because steady on voltage is only 36 V. Compare that to a D1x/D2x style, and u will see that voltage is 85 V. In detail, 42 +/- 9 V can be measured at a D3x/D4x bulb. They have same output, same life as D1x/D2x bulbs

So you're saying that the saleen ones are better than the ones Ford are using now? And regarding more attractive beam color, what do you mean? Because I know the difference in lighting depends on the heat of the Kelvar: 4500k being white to 12000k being purple. Or something like that.
