Sorry I don't know how to copy and paste like that lol. And I just realized it's Kelvin, not Kelvar. Was thinking of bullet proof vests for some reason.

FYI, both the Ford OEM HID's and the Saleen HID's are made by the same company: Valeo Sylvania

post #5 has a picture of the Ford OEM headlights. I'd jsut get the Saleens for around $600-$800.
The Fog Light should be left halogen.

Kelvin is the rating, but yes the Ford ones are a greenish color and the saleen ones are blue-purple white

Can somebody tell me whay the saleen HID's are better then the Mustangs? And why there is a huge difference between in price. Also i saw a GT500 with them. Does anybody know the quality that those are going to.
There isn't a huge difference in price, if anything they are the same price. The Saleen HIDs look better, use better lighting technology, have a more attractive beam color, and accept aftermarket bulbs.

Gt500 lights are the same as GT lights besides the housing.
Not saying that your not right but how do you know that the GT500 lights are the same as the GT's? where are you getting your resources?

didn't you old guys used to swap the highs and lows so that the lows were closer to the mid andsome how made the car look narrower? (back when High and lowe beam lights were separate lights)

What some of us old guys used to do was swap out the sealed-BEAM headlights for replaceable-bulb halogen conversions, in either the 2-lamp or 4-lamp configurations. A few folks even plugged light aircraft landing lights in the high beam sockets(I think it was some GE number that would fit).

Halogens were a bigger improvement over the old2800°K cheap-glass sealed beams (link, but from a high performance use standpoint think in terms of candles in Coke bottles) than HIDs are over halogens - I have the HIDs in my '08. It wasn't a legal mod in most places back then, and probably still isn't if anybody was to get picky about it. But as long as you had them properly aimed and didn't jacklight an oncoming patrol car with your high beams, nobody ever cared. You just had to swap the legal bulbs back in come inspection time. I've still got the original sealed beams for the thumbnail car that I bought new - there's probably fewer than 50 hours total use between the two of them spread out over maybe 25 years of that car being in active use.
