Default Ford HIDs?

So I went to my Ford dealership to drop my car off for maintainance, and while waiting around I went around to check the other Mustangs on the lot and in the showroom (natural habit of course.) As I was looking around, I noticed that alot of the '08 models had the Ford HIDs on. They looked pretty sweet. So I went to parts to inquire about purchasing them, and they told me that they're not for sale just yet, they're only as an option for the '08 models. I was bummed out, I was really looking to install them in my car while it was being maintained. Is it the same for you guys? Do they sell them at your spots or is it the same as I've been told? Also who has them already? Are they better than the aftermarket HIDs?

Steeda has the OEM upgrade kit:

my mustang came with them and its absolutely AMAZING! I am so glad I had this option. I love them much more than than aftermarket HIDs that will always give you problems and never look oem.

Dang $995.95?? That's the same price as the Saleen HIDs! I was hoping to pay the option price which is $535.95 Are there any significant differences between these and the Saleens?

I guess the option is only $535.95 because thats how much more those cost than the stock headlights and housing. Is there a market for oem headlights? Maybe you can sell yours.
