Another HID Post HID Fog and Stock Headlights
For any one that is thinking of getting some aftermarket HID with stock reflectors.
One warning, they are FRACKING BRIGHT!
For any one that has them, what is the best way to adjust the angle of them?
Shims or is there some adjustment screw that I did not see?
Thanks

the best way is to just find a wall or fence in your case and then there is a plastic piece that you can adjust the hieght with. i am not sure the proper term for the part but it looks like you have to use a allen wrench for. you dont have to you can just use a screw driver. but yeah i would angle them down or your going A. get pulled over or B. get flashed alot.

Yes that is true, but most people eaither don't know or don't care.
A lot of people have the mentaility of screw everyone else, as long as I can see that is all that matters.

Headlamp Adjustment
that is a general diagram, it gives you the space you want.
but to adjust the headlamp in the S197, open your hood.
look just inboard of your headlamp light socket.
you should see an allen screw sitting in a plastic surround.
insert correct allen key, turn to aim up or down.
there is only vertical aiming, no horizontal.

Thanks, I adjusted it all the way down as far as it would go. Ill see if that is enough here in a few hours.
Now that I see how bright just the fog lights are I am having some second thoughts about installing the head light HIDs.
Is it even posible to get them to a point where you don't wince in anticipation of getting flashed when some one in the on coming lane passes by you?
