18x10" FR500s with 275 tires?
I am going to be buying a new set of wheels and tires. I am going with the fr500s with the 18x9 and 18x10 staggered setup. I want to do 255/45 (or 40) in the front and 275/40 in the rear. Does anyone know, or have a pic of how the 275 will look on a 10" wide wheel? I am afraid it will look too stretched. If its too stretched I will go with a 285.

Screw the stagger, just go 275/40/18 with 18x9's all around. Dunno how you are about money, but you'll probably save a good bit on the rim purchase, tire purchase, future rotations and purchases, etc...
I mean, depending on the sidewall you choose, you're only getting about another quarter inch to half inch of tread width with a 285 over the 275's anyway, nevermind the miniscule increase in contact patch. Not to mention you can save a few hundred over time that could go towards a big brake kit possibly?
Just my $.02 :-)

Do what I did. Go with the Shelby gt500 set-up; Gt500 18" chrome wheels - 91/2 all around (50mm offset) and nitto 555s - 255/45 front 285/40s rear. Got em through discount tire. Great price and beautiful job of mounting, balancing and free shipping. Love them - they look great!
