Default What does offset: 34mm mean on a wheel ?

Im looking for some foose wheels on ebay and just wondering whats does the offset mean ?whats the diffrence between34+ 40 offset?

34 will stick out farther than 40. Think of it this way, the higher the number, the more the rim is tucked under the wheelwells.
In other words....your car will have a wider stance with 34mm offsetvs 40. Looks better IMO.
