I used to use an FM transmitter and I hated it. Couldn't get a clear sound, always static. So I went to Radio Shack and spent about $7 bucks for a cable, RCA hookups on one end, and headphone jack on the other end. Hooked that up, and use the AUX channel to play my mp3 with cd quality sound. That is however with an aftermarket head unit, and looks like if I wanna do that in the stang, I have to get that piece.

How cheap are you talkin trigger?

Ok here is my solution.
Go to the apple store, there they have aux cord that is on a retractable spool w/ a flat cable for $20. I simply plug it in the port on the armrest, pull out the spool enough to clear the lid and close. From there I can just pull my ipod close to change song then give it a quick pull and it retracks to the armrest lid like a vaccum cord.

This looks very similar to mine, and it's cheaper!

Yea, minor problem Ato. I have an '05 which doesn't have that nifty little port in the armrest.
