Default RE: To Stripe or not to stripe...

I had Rob from BSM install my stripes at his shop. He did a great job, but I hate how the stripes bunched around the front of the hoodscoop after a week. That and a few dings in the front made me remove them. Save your money and have them painted on.

cartel - where in Virginia are you?

I had the stripes installed for a little over $300.00 a year and a half ago. No complaints at all.

Don't do it unless you can afford to get them painted ...

BG LEE, If you was in Virginia, I would have done them for you for free. I did mines myself and I must admit, they are perfect. There is no Bubbles, and there located exactlywhere they belong. Its pretty easy if you take your time, clean the car real well, and can measure. There will be area's of the car that recuire splicing......

I live in VA. I have some stripes to install!!!!! 1 fat hood stripe and rockers.

I guess I need to look in to paint and see how much I could get that from...paint makes me nervous...at least if they f*** up the decals I can take them off...with paint you have really got to trust the shop...

Totally agree with you, which is why I initially went vinyl over paint, and having installed over doing it myself.

Based on what happened, if I do vinyl again, I'd get it from baltimorestreet and do it myself. For what I paid, I could
have bought 2 or 3 kits from them to get it right.

But, I plan to head to some car nights this summer and find some good paint jobs and ask around
to find a quality painter for next year...
