Does sun exposure, leave a sun tan if you remove stripes??
I wanted stripes the first day I got my Stang, which was 1 year ago. I finally installed my stripes about 1 month ago. But must admit,I'm paranoid. Paranoid that if I removed the stripes, there would be two darker shades of windveil where the stripes once was.
I remmemberone time when Iremoved a bumper sticker that was on my older car. The entire car was lighter than the spot where the sticker once was.....
Has anyone seen or experienced this after removing stripes?
That mean's I would have to re-paint the entire car......

to some extent this can happen, with oxidation. A novice buff job should bring any noticible shade difference to a uniform look

If you removed the stripes now, you'd be fine.
A lot depends on the conditions and how much paint fade your car experiences. The
paint under the stripes isn't fading, everything else is. Over time, eventually, you'll
get "tan lines". Keep your car as waxed as possible, etc... to minimize this.
Personally, I believe that once you stripe, and are on there for a summer, you're striped.
Mine would only come off to be re-striped or painted stripes, so I'm not too worried about it.
