you can take a Z right now lol those mods will add a few lengths to your victory now lol. Kooks also does not make shorties for these cars as far as I know. The full length are long tubes, even though they are more mid length Either way I'm jealous. I want gears and longtubes next
Yeah, I beat him already with both engines being stock (even though he's manual and I'm automatic). We decided to modify our engines and see who could win the race again. So we'll see what happens. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be able to take him a 2nd time.
Yeah but ANY retune on the s197 auto is WAY better than the Ford OEM tune [:'(]You have the Shelby tune in it. I can't wait to dump the factory tune on my 08 auto for the Bama Chips tune w/C&L intake

SCT tunes are what's called "Canned Tunes"....

Every mustang owner that I know of who have switched from a canned tune to a custom tune (bama, brenspeed, VMP) has been totally satisfied.

It's day and night difference. Doug at bamachips has put a lot of effort into tuning Automatic mustangs, and I can tell that he did a good job.

Hmmm.....Interesting. They didn't have a pre-programmed tune for my car. The guy from Lamotta (the performance shop) said they would put the car on the dyno before they did the modifications and then after and tune it to get the best performance out of the car.

If you're talking about a Dyno tune, then that's definitely better than a custom mail tune. Go for it.

Okay it maybe not your thing but if I had your car, I would leave the exhaust stock, period.
You have a numbered car. Anything you change detracts from the value.
Now I am Mr.mod on my GT (seel my sig) but my car is just one GT out of a massive amount of these cars that were produce.
If I had your car I would not change much but get better tires. You are only going to get 20 hp out of headers. It really is not worth the devaluation you will be doing to that numbered Shelby. In twenty years the next guy who has that car will be wondering how to get it back to stock. Sorry, your car will never be that fast without serious mods and I just think the car is unique enough to warrant keeping it stock and maybe beingjust a little slower than if you slap on a few bolt-ons.

Well, if he keeps the stock parts, couldnt he just put them back on if he decides to sell the car someday??

to the OP: Beautiful car, looks awesome with the light bar!

I'm actually keeping everything stock that came with it. If I ever do decide to get rid of it, I Can put them back on.
