Washer Fluid Nozzle Problem
Has anyone seen this before? or know what causes it?
Everytime i use my window washer fluid it, at first takes a second to spray (which im just assuming means its pressuring up the tube. And then the real problem occurs, once im done the nozzle will leak the fluid, especially after the cars turned off, it will seep for awhile from the nozzle leaving this huge terrible looking washer fluid stains along the hood of my car. Its to the point where i try not to use the fluid anymore because i dont want to deal with the stains it leaves. Anyone have any suggestions? is this normal? its a 2005 gt. Thanks!

i get little puddles... it's normal, although the "stains" should be really easy to wipe off.
i've gotten to the point where I refrain from using my window washer fuild too just because it does look tacky.
only solution I can think of would be a nozzle relocation kit, but then you'd be left with two holes in your stock hood... of course, if you went aftermarket then that's a whole 'nother story!

i don't get "puddles".
I get a stream of fluid on the hood.
I think that might not happen if I wash the windows at higher speeds but I usually am forced to use them to clean my windows because the low sun in the late afternoon is making it difficult to see pedestrians.
There is a relocation kit the moves the nozzles to the wipers.

Thanks for the reply guys! i know it sucks you guys have same problem but it makes me feel better knowing its not just me
.
Hey dan, think i could get away with calling the two little holes a custom heat extractor job?[sm=alcoholic.gif]
How much do the relocation kits cost? i think ive heard of one that relocates it to the little gap right after the wiper blades? i like the idea of having them on the wiper blades...

Its the normal situation.
I just dont use mine and have drained just enough
fluid that hard launches dont leak stain producing
leaks.
The fricken wiper has to do one complete cycle
before the fluid comes out. This not a pressure
building up problem but a Ford engineering problem
as the pump is not activated until the wiper has
already made it accross the dirty windshield effectivly
scratching it ifthere is any abrasive dirt present that
you are trying to remove. Dropped the ball yet once
again, Ford?
