I have the Redline Tuning struts, no adjustements needed, but yes, I have to shut my hood, not just drop it.

I have some concern about the struts with the hole cut in the hood for it. I have to wonder if the structural integrity of an already flimsy hood is compromised with the hole in it thereby making it weaker in the middle along the adjacent sides. Seems to me if there would be a weak point prone to giving and warping it would be there. I thought about maybe finding a christmas tree style push pin large enough to go in the hole along with the prop to hold it in place.

MRT/CDC struts: no need to drill any holes. Use existing bolts. Nice clean install. No problem closing hood, its a no brainer... I just drop it and it closes. I also like these because they leave all kinds of room to work on the engine.
