RE: Anyone have the tail light covers?
I had them for a day or two...fitment was horrible (seems to be a common problem with them).I got mine painted and they look so much better. They don't have that tacked on look.

I just got them from American Muscle. The passenger side fits wonderfull but the drivers side doesn't fit so well. It fits okay if you mess with it for a while but than if you touch the bottom right corner, the top left corner lifts up. The passenger side one is fine and has no problems. I'm not sure if maybe I got a bad batch or if I'm going to have to modify this thing to get it to fit correctly. I'm thinking about heating it up and applying some clear RTV to the sides.

another thing is, dont use the stock stick on plastic pices. Get some industrial velcro and stick them on, the difference in thicknes makes the fit better.
I will send american muscle an e-mail as I am not happy with the fit on the drivers side. I may try to use a heatgun and bend them a bit to fit tighter, but after the pretty penny I droped on a set of plastic covers, I should not have to refit them.

[align=left]I had the same problem with my covers. The passenger side fit perfectly, but the driver side always had on corner off. When I'd finally get all the corners in and fitting right as soon as shut the trunk lid one would pop off again. It drove me absolutely insane because im very OCD about my car, so I just took them off. I really want to get them tinted with paint, but I have no idea where to go to get it done and the only place I've found them painted is on ebay for like $200. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do it yourself or what kind of shop can do it for me?

Exactly, all of my paint shops will paint them. They just don't know what kind of mixture to use to tint them. I've heard 10 parts clear and one part black but that just seems way too runny.

They do have paint that is specificaly designed for tail lights. Google search it. My buddy used it. Its very runny if aplied close but you have to dust it in layers. It leaves a mat finish, once done you clearcoat them and after a month you buff them down.
