Default RE: Failed Emissions?

this happened to me. i reloaded the factory tune. drove for a week... about 300 miles. went back to get reinspected and still failed. the dmv couldnt communicate with the rear o2 sensors. so i was stuck bringing it back to ford and they "fixed" it. they didnt tell me what they did.

happened to me as SCT turns off the rear O2 off by default - easy fix

check the owners manuel there is a driving cycle listed. iirc 10 mins hwy/20 mins stop and go and your good for a new inspection.

but check witht the tuning shop to make sure the o2s are on - i needed my tune updated

But if my rear 02's are on then they need to be plugged in and installed....I am not wanting to do that...I am going to check with MPH to see if they have any experience with this...that is who tuned the car...

Just spoke with Tim at MPH and he gave me an updated tune and said I should be ready to go now...I will update once I have done the retest so that this can be good information for other folks that might have the same issue...

The reset adaptive learning data needs to be relearned
before it will pass emissions testing.
150-200 miles of varied driving will do the trick.
The workshop manual shows the various speeds
and conditions needed to relearn the adaptive parameters.

Well according to my tuner I don't even have to "ready" my car I should be able to upload the tune and I'll be good to go...lol...apparently they are stricter now on the readiness check in GA somehow the check is more specific and looks directly at your 02 sensors now and not just the readiness code itself...
