Default BBK X pipe question

I was looking to purchase the wull BBK X pipe with cats from Brothers Performance. My concern is, the pipe flanges out to 2 3/4" and they say for better flow. But you guys thing that is too much if your not running a supercharger?? If I all Brothers, you know they will say everything would be ok. I talked to a few people in town, and they have mixxed reviews about it and you dont see too many people on here that run. Anyone have input on this?? Here is the sales add.

2005-2007 4.6L Mustang GT 2-3/4" High-Performance X-pipe w/ High-Flow Convertors
[BBK1770]
$439.99

You want more power for your pony? Well, these High-Flow X-pipes with converters are what you need!
Made from 2-3/4" fully mandrel bent tubing, they are a 1/4" bigger than stock or most of the other brands offered and they have 50 state legal catalytic converters. The bigger pipe translates into a unique sound that offers more horsepower. (always check with state EPA for rules about changing catalytic converters)

Default RE: BBK X pipe question

Doubt itll be too much. I mean people run the 2 1/2 w/ no cats so a 2 3/4 w/ cats should be fine.
