That is one beautiful car! I really like the stripes. I hadn't considered black stripes on my VB until now. Are those matte black?

She's tough. Tint the windows and put some black bezels on the tail lights.

Margarita Girl: oh man, now you've got me thinking about splitters again! i had totally put em out of my mind until now... ugh!

chain1: i think burke makes a good point about the hood pins; i know i had read a few posts over the months about members' hoods shaking at >80mph. so, i figured i'd kill two birds with one stone: reduce the possibility of my hood killing me, and increase the aesthetic appeal of the pony. but it's funny you mention black wheels - the day before i snapped those pics, i took off my winter wheels (i know it's may; it's a looong story as to why i couldn't put the summer set on earlier) which are black. here's a pic:

jlczl: thanks! and no, the stripes aren't matte black actually, but they're definitely not high shine. they're vinyl as well, since i didn't feel like dropping $$$ on the paint job. some advice though: go to a graphics design shop to get your stripes done. they're usually more expensive than auto shops that stripe (prolly by a few hundred bucks), but imo, the extra $$ is well worth it. the shop i went to custom cut and fit the stripes to my car, they're warranteed for five years, and i've never had one problem with bunching, etc. they did an excellent job. before i found that place, i had auto shops telling me that they couldn't put stripes down bumpers, they'd have a hard time with the hood scoop, etc. all bullsh*t.

Daniel60: i was thinking about the black bezels on the rears - there was a post earlier this week i think by a member who painted in between the lenses where the bezels would go. i might give thata try. the results were outstanding. and yes, i know, i wish i could tint my baby out. whenever i move out of jersey, that'll be my first order of stang business!
