wow, that has got to be totaled.

So they put the idiot's minivan up on the flatbed and had yours dragged behind the truck? Not so sure I like the treatment of the victim in this case[]
Rofl, yeh. I guess it was cause of the placement of the cars. Complete bull**** though. I was the one that called for the tow truck too.. the company wasn't that great. I have a feeling my insurance is crazy too. I think the reason she thinks it wont be totaled is because I wasn't seriously injured. I really hope they don't give me a half-beat car with a salvage title and no money to compensate. That would completely suck. I've already decided that this time around I'm going to get my loan with a co-sign like I did for my first car. I got royally screwed on my vert's car loan. I might even be able to convince my grandfather to buy the replacement car outright for me and let me make payments to him. That would save me a ton of money.. but I guess I have to worry about that once I find out if they total my car or not. Regardless I'm going to the dealership this Saturday to test drive the car I want to buy.

Damn....sorry to hear that. Not sure about a total or not, but that much force can do a lot to the frame and move a lot around. Hope you are ok.
The S197s dont use a frame.
Its unibody construction.

That is now a parts car.
Dont let them try and rebuild her.
Shewill never be the same.
AllState has some sort of new
car replacement rider in their policys.
If its less than XX amount of days old,
you get a new ride no questions asked.
Do you have AllState by any chance or
the lizard brand of insurance?

I have USAA and the kid that hit me has Bristol West. I guess I can always drop the claim with USAA if they don't total it. If they don't I'll be sure to send you a PM too StowesStang. I definitely want a replacement. I know it is going to be well over $9k in damage. I'm pretty sure the vert motor is toast, which by my understanding costs at least $2500-$3,000. I really have my eyes set on this mineral gray coupe. The car only bluebooks at about $29k.. which sucks cause there isn't a dealer in my area that has a GT vert for less than $35k. They are asking for $29k just for a 4.0 vert, which is a complete joke. This is the worst time of year to have to find a replacement car..

Sucks, bro. What state do you live in by the way? You shouldn't even be dealing with your insurance, you should be dealing with the insurance company of the guy that hit you. Next, get a lawyer. Not to sue for damages or anything, but to go after the insurance company in case they try and "repair" the car. That car can never be repaired. If you go to sell it, you'll have to tell the people that it was in a serious accident and you will never get anything out of it. Don't let them walk all over you. You need to stay on top of everything and don't settle for anything less than replacement value

I can tell you from expierence that your mustang is a total loss. I buy wrecked cars with Salvage titles and rebuild them. My 2005 GT in my sig. is one of them and it didn't have near the damage yours does and itwas totaled. Mine was still driveable but needed all the cooling components so of course you couldn't drive it long. Hell, the airbags didn't even deploy on mine and it was front end damage.

I would definetly fight the insurance tooth and nail if they even think about repairing that. I really don't see how they could though because that damage looks very costly!!
