I don't understand how that works. will someone please explain. I mean how can you shift without the clutch. Seems kinda dangerous.

Quite easy actually.... Some people have no clue what they are talking about when they tell you not to use the clutch... THAT WRONG. you do use the clutch..

Picture this... come off the line easy and ease into first... get going about 15 MPH... then gas that bitch

get to like 500 before where you normally shift, then keep youre foot on the gas the whole time....

keep youre left foot hovering over the clutch, when youre 500 before where you normally shift....

Slam the clutch and keep youre foot on the gas the ENTIRE time... then shift like lightening and let off the clutch...

Thats it.... Keep doing it through all the gears...

Really simple. If youre as good as me you never miss a shift and you can cut like 4 tenths off youre 1/4

Ok.. now i'll read youre post hawg

I always refered to that as Speed Shifting, basically shifting without letting off the gas all the way. Keeps the weight shift to the back of the car rather than letting the front suspension compress between gears. More weight to the back tires is better traction and less time to shift all equal faster times.

That's not power shifting, but you can shift without the clutch after your're in 1st already. Drive normally, and when you're ready to shift, let off the gas completely (don't touch the clutch) and gently bring the shifter to your next gear and hold it firmly against it, when the RPM's are low enough, it'll slip right in. Then nail the gas pedal again. Trickier to downshift this way without grinding gears, but easy when upshifting. Try it, during normal driving conditions it'll save you a whole lot of miles on your clutch.

You can't powershift correctly on the 05's because of the eletronic throttle control. It does something with the throttle when you try to power shift to make it basicly ineffective. A little computer tune fixes this.
