I use Mobile 1 and change it once a year. I don't put many miles on my car in a year either. Maybe 2,000 miles per year. I alsodon't drive itduring the winter.

also mobile 1 is NOT a full synthetic, a full synthetic would be RP, amsoil, or redline oil
i run motorcraft oil+filter and have no problems and do it every 5k or 4 months

RE: how often do you change your oil
ya, i just started using Royal Purple, its excellent oil but i figured i could change every 5K, i just changed it about a week and a half ago...it was jet black and thick as a milk shake (maby not quite that thick) i guess i drive it too hard to do every 5k so im gunna do 3K now, so if your light on the pedal 5k+ is fine but if not, like me deff dont go past 3K
