Default Help with idle...come on in guys

I have just a quick question I think I might have actually seen here before.

I installed a Bamachips 93 tune the other day after putting on the CAI and had a small issue. When I put the car in neutral or kept it in gear and depressed clutch [either way you do it, it's when you're coming to a stop] and the revs would fall below normal idle to about or just below 500 rpm.

I called up Doug and he sent another tune that day, great guy. Anyway, it fixed it some but still does it a bit. Doug recommended that I get some throttlebody cleaner and clean around the butterflies in the TB and even spray it on the MAF sensor too. He said that in these cars sometimes there is buildup around the butterflies in the TB or dirt on the MAF sensor that can cause this issue.

Was just wondering if any of you guys had the same small issue [nothing big...but still] and if doing the above took care of your problem. Thanks.

check all connections for the CAI....very common problem, then clean the TB blades and MAF if you still have some troubles

Try loading up the stock tune, and then re-loading the bama tune...

worked for me.

Hope it helps!

Thanks guys. It's nothing big, just want to get it taken care of.

I'm also going in tomorrow to have my gears replaced...the 4.10's I have whine a lot in 5th gear and some in 4th so the guy is replacing them for free.

I can't wait to get them in and go through the 500 mile break in...REALLY want to see what 1st gear is like after the tune, new tires and 4.10's[8D]

Yeah, cleaning the TB helped with my idle, as well as first gear take off....But, I'm not too sure I would use TB cleaner on the MAF.....

Mike

I cleaned the TB and my sensor with the correct cleaner for each and it fixed my problem. OH and i moved the shield on my intake to the proper spot.

What type of cleaner would I buy specifically for the MAF sensor if the TB cleaner won't do it?

I would imagine it would for Doug to tell me that...but what have you guys used?

I have same problem on my 05 Roush. It's almost stalling. Dealer is going to look at it on Thursday, under warranty, but they told me its very common and its a bad sensor that causes this.
