Whipple... do it yourself?
Check to see what their warranty states about installation. If it says you only have a 60 or 90 day warranty self installed or a one year. I'd go the extra cash and get it professionally. Any problems with the install or after, is on YOU if you do it yourself. Somethings I'll do myself others I won't FI is probably one I'd let a shop do just for warranty sake of the FI.
Does anyone have a link to the instructions? I'd like to attempt this, but I'm not sure what to expect. Specifically, I'm interested in the nonintercooled 400 hp Whipple kit.
As far as time is concerned, the Mustang is not a daily driver. It can sit for a month while the supercharger goes on for all I care.
Specifically, regarding the 400 hp kit. Does anyone know if I need to remove the coolant overflow and drain the coolant?
I know that the 5 psi version doesn't require a new fuel pump, just injectors, and spark plugs. Not having to change the pump or install an intercooler should save a lot of time and trouble.
