Minor differences between Astra Hammonds and MRT for your reference:
Astra Hammond-
Sits flush against window
Not hinged
Sharper angles
mounts with brackets and must be lifted off for cleaning

MRT-
Sits with a small gap above window
hinged which makes cleaning a lot easier
smooth, rounded look
mounts using brackets and can be lifted from the bottom. Also there are props you can buy from mrt-direct
prices range from 400 and up.

 

I know I promised to post pics of mine when I got it installed but work has been crazy and I just haven't had the time.

One thing I did have to make time for was replacing the top right hand clip today. I pulled the car out of the garage to wash it and noticed the clip was pulled up from the glass. The adhesive didn't hold. So I pulled it off, cleaned it and the glass again and attached it with 3M tape and resealed it with silicone.

I've heard others having to do this also. Not sure if 3M was the tape that was on it to begin with or not but hopefully this time it will hold. Sucked knowing it came loose after only 10 days.

 

I've been waiting before I pull the trigger on buying my set. Still can't decide between the MRT's and Astra Hammonds. Leaning AH tho..

Ok guys, I finally got around to taking some pics. Aside from having to replace the tape on the top bracket, I really do love these louvers. I think they make the car.

Those louvers look hot nighthawk. Im curious how they would look if they were painted candy apple like your roush louvers are.

 

Looks great. I finally ordered mine and should have some pics of em installed in a week or two, weather depending.

 

Thanks Reaper, I actually wondered the same thing. Then I thought it would break up the stripe running down the back. So I thought about painting it red and adding the stripealso but wasn't sure how it would look. Haven't seen one like that before but was afraid I wouldn't like it and have too much money tied up in it. So I just had them paint it satin black since the original powder coat looked a little thin. The owner of the body shop was nice enough to paint it for free since I recommended another guy to him that got stripes painted on his car too.

 

I would leave everything like it is but paint the 1/4 windows black, but that's just me. Car looks wicked.
