I wouldnt trade my Brenspeed 92 Octane for anything, unless a 93 LOL(92 is the highest available in my area) I know the limiter is raised to 6800, but I watch the tach and shift at at 6000, so I dont worry about it.

stock rev limiter is 6250, and yes if you race and are taking your car to 6500-6800 all the time it will probably shorten the life of the internals. But "high horespwer" cars are going to have that problem. Now a car with only maybe 40 HP higher than stock and that isnt raced all the time shouldnt have any problems over a car that is stock. That would be ****ty engineering if that is the case.

I think its probably more of an issue with forced induction cars, because when I first went to this site about a year ago, everyone was skeptical about 500 HP on a stock motor. I can't tell form your sig if your blown or turbo'd or naturally aspirated. I can really feel that my car's engine is being stressed at WOT, and the shift time is almost nothing in 1st and 2nd. I am always hitting the limiter, so thanks god I have it.

Matt you bring up a good point in the warranty. My whipple is a ford part and I had my dealer install it so if it blows up the motor, the warranty picks up a new one. I will trade off a few hundred rpm for that peace of mind too. If I was not blown I would definately go with a non FRPP tune as you did.

Thanks for the info.. This surely made up MY mind. Ford racing or nothing for my car.. I know some have had issues with emissions testing with the (2) 02's off. No thanks.. I don't need those types of problems. And a 6 hp difference is nothing.. You can't even feel 6 hp...
I don't know about manual, but man, with an automatic you bet you feel a difference, its all in the shifting with the auto tune. I have no idea what my numbers (rwhp/tq) with the FRPP were, or what it is with the SCT, but damn, the SOTP difference feeling is incredible! It feels like two totally different cars. I know, I kept the FRPP tune for a little over a year, I thought like you did. I finally said "what the hell", and went SCT and never looked back. In 16k miles, or 1.5 years, it won't matter what I'm running anyway, warranty's up!

Also like what Matt was saying, its not like you're WOT'ing the car all the time, and nobody would be using the other tunes if they were that bad for the car, and if the cars did break down because of the extra tuning, that's some sh*tty engineering on Ford's part.
