Yeah bro, ricers, and hondaboi's are retarded.
I had a buddy who had a Dodge Intrepid that he riced out. Now, while I don't agree with ricing out anything, he was cool about it. Never bragged about how fast it was or anything.
Well about 6 months ago his mommy bought him an acura rsx... He will never be the same.
I honestly don't know what it is about honda's, but it turned my buddy into a hondaboi. All he ever talks about now is how fast his car is (pulled a 16.0...I know. Fast right?) He put a type s badge on it, and all of a sudden it's a 13 second car...Riiight.
Anyway, he'd always give me crap about being able to beat me (I had a '76 Chevy K20 on 36's) so I told him we'd go to the mud drags and I'd whoop him.

But..the moral of the story is this:
Honda's (and Acura's) change people. They cause them to sag their pants, wear their hats crooked, and believe that their car can beat anything on the street.

hUCK
Fonda

Oh yeah, and fwd=wrong wheel drive. You're supposed to drive the car, not let the car drive you, and that's what fwd's do.

ORIGINAL: chain1I mean come on, the simple fact that these never ending "ricer" topics continue is testament to the fact that there are people on this forum who honestly feel threatened by civics. Its kind of embarassing.
I am absolutely terrified of my 1990 civic lx daily driver. That car is insane crazy fast!

Civic Si's are not that fast....unless your broski is running atleast 9 psi he doesnt have a very good chance....but...they can be really really fast if you totally mod them out. Either way its still a gay ricer car

Ford Mustang GT: 13k
Seibon light weight reinforced doors + BMR light weight suspention: 2k
Saleen Full Suspention: 2k
Whipple 3.2l: 7k
Nissan GT-R Transaxle with linear conversion mod assembly: 5k
Forged internals/nsr cams: 2k
There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to start;

13,000 for a 2005+ Mustang - Maybe if it was without an engine?
Nope check recent sales. in my area a 2005 GT Manual with leather sold for 15k with only 15,500 miles.

Seibon doors and BMR suspension for 2K - Maybe the suspension only
No, the BMR K-Member and front suspention A-Arms cost $800, these are their main lightening components from BMR and do not interfeer with handeling packages actually and the Seibon Doors cost $1900. If you install the doors unpainted, you can sell the old ones for at leat $350 each. Sounds like I'm right on the money.

Saleen full suspension 2k -need another suspension? you alresady spent 2K on BMR?
They don't overlap..

Whipple 3.2 7K - Whipple doesnt make a 3.2 for the 3-valve
They make the 3.4l that modaddict was running. It's designed for the GT500 but they have an adapter for the GT. Modaddict is putting down 800rwhp with it.
Nissan GT-R transaxle - Are you on crack? this is a rear wheel drive car?
...
NSR Cams and forged internals 2K - The forged internal will cost 7000 installed and the cams about 1100 with labor.
Not fully forged here, the forging is not for gains like with new cylinder heads but for protection, also it's 3.5k for parts to do the whole engine. 7k is very high installed.

A transaxle? do you even owna Mustang?
You're not listening to what I'm saying. You would need to convert it into a linear transmission, I wasn't going to go into that scince I even mentioned it in the original post but considering it's already a linear transmission with just a diff mounted in the back as is very explicit in it's design (I'll show you a picture of you want), this could be very easy after simply modifying the casing. The transaxle here is not the normal transaxle at all. The wheel driveshafts arent even centrally mounted but again at the rear. It's really the only transmission that can take the power as a DSG. Even the best other DSGs wont take the torque, but people have pushed the GT-R to 600 torque already. I've read posts about several people with cars that are as powerful as I'm discussing and they all hate them because they are difficult to drive. So even if some fab work is required, it would be worth it here to smooth out such a beast of a car. Seems resonable to me.

All I can say is its all a no brainer. Just read the specs between the GT and the SI. That will tell the story. The only way a SI will catch you is if your off guard crusing on down the freeway in 5th gear. That is where these ricerslive. However, a quick downshift or two will quickly show them who is in charge here! lol... I know, because it happened to me. Big smiles on the ricers faceuntil I blew by him with a "Jacka$$ eatin' thistels" grin on my face as I watched him struggle to catch up. LOL One of the most satisfying moments I can think of even knowing the ricer had no chance.

Dude you guys have got it all wrong. Fear the Civic! Look at this marvel of automotive engineering. I bet he gets a whole 15fwhp from those hood pins! And the dual 4" tips out back add at least another 10. No seriously. I just saw this yesterday and couldnt help but take a picture.

Well, the number of replies here would indicate thatfor one reason or another, thisseems tobe a popular threadand if it's below you to join in the debate, then the next best thing for you to do would be to move along onto something that'scloser to your intellectual standards. Calling what others are saying BS is ignorant and rude as is telling people what they should or shouln't be talking about. As far as I can tell, this topic is 'Mustang tech' related.
