"Crazy Horse" probably tried to change the gear ratio and f*cked something else up, causing the CEL. Now he won't own up to it and is trying to blame JDM.I can't see how else it could happen.

 

Im with SAILING220. I would flash the car back to stock, bring it to the dealer and see what they can find out. If they reset it, then I would go to a Bama tune like GRAMPA_STANG says. Give Doug all your info and he will write a tune for you andemail it to you in about 3-4 days, maybe less. The gear install will not throw any codes, but more than likely, C.H. probably accidently changed something in your tune when trying to adjust for the gear ratio. Id start fresh from Ford and go from there. It might cost you some coin, but better being safe than sorry. I know it gets frustrating, but have to stay positive. There isa shop here in San Antonio who pulled the same crap to a buddy of mine. Trust me, getting a custome tune from Bamachips will put a smile on your face in the end!!

 

thanks so much guys i appreciate it. im just so frustrated i dont see how i should be paying for something that i didnt mess up. but it's gotta be done. I'll put the stock CAI on and get my computer reflashed and go back to jdm and have them tune my car
