Yes, it's ok to remove the rear sway bar. Heck, the V6 doesn't even have one from the factory.

Those endlinks don't look anything like the Steeda units to me. You can post in the Steeda forum on their website if you're not sure.

Here's a photograph of the Steeda endlinks. I think the ones you have were made by another company.

thats the thing .....i have never seen it....its not on the steeda site that i have found.....

this part yes...

The actual broken part i cant find
http://www.steeda.com/products/billet_swaybar_mount.php

I do not think that part is on his car. That part is Steeda 555-8113, Steeda Billet FRONT Sway Bar link. The component that he broke was in the rear of the car.

Here's the description of part 555-8113:
"CNC machined from beautiful billet aluminum, these Steeda Swaybar Mounts accept our larger HD front swaybar with it's high-durometer urethane bushings (included) and will not flex under hard cornering like a stamped steel bracket."

Just to update, the blue bar used to be Steedas 1st gen endlinks. They updated to the current ones you see on the site. Im supposedly getting a call back this afternoon regarding it.

I say it's OK to remove it and forget about it.
Why? The FR500C doesn't have one.
Factory built $130K road race car.
They ought to know something...

I can see from the pictures, that the welds broke clean off.
That piece shouldn't be made out of alloy anyway because aluminum doesn't do too good with stress.

ORIGINAL: CalmLikeaBomb

This really bums me out, but at least I found the cause...and it wasnt a blown shock

take a gander...

Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement ? It came with the car...
That looks like an easy piece to fabricate and replace.
You do still have a good one to draw a blueprint from?
You can make it better than what you have there.
That upper link attachment point could have been
machined correctly and inserted INTO the tubing for
strength, not just butt joint MIG welded on.
