Default Buying a JLT Intake, have a question...

Hey guys. I may be purchasing a usedJLT intake from somebody. My question is do I need to be aware of anything in particular or do I need to ask any particular questions? He says he has the heat shield. Are there different models of these intakes, and if so, is one any better than the other? Seems like I heard something about a JLT intake and then theres also a JLT II intake??? What about mass air flow meter? Isn't the stock one used? Thanks in advance for any help!

In addition you will need a tuner and a tune. SCT XCAL is the one I use and seems that most people use. I installed mine under two weeks ago.
