Default Large Project, need help!

Ok, those that don't know, I'm stationed on the island of Guam. We have NOBODY on island that has built a 3v engine before (a few have done 2v/4v). I have cams, heads, a stroker kit, etc for my car. Does anyone here have any good advice, or a nice book/video that spells things out little purple dinosaur style? I have some experience putting missiles together (yes, you read that correct), so something that has pictures, and easily understoodworks great!!!

And if anyone here has done thier own engine, what did you learn that you wish you knew before?

I would post this in the tech section. But to be honest, not many people on this board that I have seen have done their own work on a built motor. There have been a few that have looked into it though. Post over there and I'm sure you'll get some info.

Its cool. Yeah, you put the wrong wire somewhere, and you ruin many people's day.

I figured I'd put this in the S197 section, because thats the body I have. I'll try general tech now. I've been lurking here, and see that most people have someone else do it, but I don't have that option. Thanks for the honesty.
