I have the Airaid with my Diablosport, and I have the tune from Doug at Bamachips... It is fantastic... The Diablo tune isn't bad but you need to remove the MVT insert. With Doug's tune, you need to keep the MVT inserted, which is great if you ever need to reinstall your stock tune.

Doug's race tune takes the lag out... which is a very noticable difference.

With the Airaid and Diablo tune, expect a 30 rwhp gain. I am not sure what the added HP is with Doug's but it feels better than the Diablo tune.

You honestly wont benefit much from a CAI wothout a tune. But if you really are set on not getting a tune for it, then go with the Granatelli set up with its piggyback MAF that can be taken off just as easily.

I've got the Granatelli without a tune and it works great for me. I'm surprised hearing that a tune might improve the hp. Think I'll try it one of these days.

Can't agree on the cosmetic only comment. I had a huge improvement when I added my GMS with no tune.

Look man...it's this simple... there is a noticable diff. with a CAI only...I have the BBK...I am f***** tellin ya...YOU CAN TELL A NOTICABLE DIFFERENCE

Anybody that says you can't obviously doesn't have a feel for the car and needs a significant increase in power to feel it over their subwoofers...

That being said, a CAI and tuneis infinately better...I would rate it like this

CAI only - in car reaction...dude this is SWEET!

CAI + Tune - in car reaction...Holy SH**

ENOUGH SAID

I have to agree. I got my GMS CAI and saw a huge improvement but later decide to get a tune and saw another huge improvement. It always ran good and never had a check light both with and without a tune. You can take it in steps or go all out from the start. If I had gone with a tune from the start I would not have purchased the GMS... there are many others that work as well or better and look a lot better. But if you do get the GMS get the polished version, the unpolished is not pretty.

It appears that if you add a tune, you have to go with premium gas. This in itself should improve performance, but there again - you're paying a "premium" for it.

I have the Granatelli and like it. Although it does not require a tuner, it does use its own MAF and the harness interface uses a "chip". This is effectively a tune in the chip in combination with the included MAF, a tune without a tuner.

The Tube itself is unrestricted and wide. Also, I think it is the best looking air tube out their. And at shows it gets a lot of compliments on its design and "polished" look.

That looks great in the polished version. As you can see by my pic its not very good looking unpolished.
